French Ligue 1 giants AS Monaco have confirmed that they have reached an agreement with Dutch Eredivisie outfit AZ Alkmaar for the signing of youngster Myron Boadu for an undisclosed fee. The young talent has finally chosen to sign for Monaco as he believes that is the club where he will get the most opportunities to continue his development. After a break-out season at Alkmaar in the Dutch Eredivisie last season, he started drawing attention from a host of European clubs, with Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Chelsea all understood to have made inquiries about snapping him up from the Dutch league.

The youngster, who plays for the Netherlands youth team, rose through the ranks at Alkmaar and was promoted from the club’s youth academy after he was sighted as a player with a bright future because of the potential he showed during a training session with the senior team. His promotion to the first team was a well-earned one as he deserved every chance he was given to play for the senior side.
