AZ Alkmaar star Wijndal could be the man to replace the likes of Ashley Young and Matteo Darmianat left wing back. The long-termfuture of both Young and Darmianat Inter Milan is in serious doubt. The two former Manchester United player have spent a lot time in the left wing back position at Inter Milan this season.

Italian international Darmian and Englishman Young have contributed their quota to the Inter Milan cause in the bid to end the long wait for a league title. The Nerazzuri have not won the league title in over a decade but that’s set to end this season. Inter have a ten-point lead at the Italian Serie A summit and they need just three wins from the final six matches to seal the league title this season.

AZ Alkmaar player Wijndalhas been in excellent form for his Dutch Eredivisie team this season and his quality has not been unnoticed by Inter Milan officials. He has one goal and five assists in 38 appearances for AZ Alkmaar this season. The Dutch international has been able to propel his team to third spot on the league table behind the duo of PSV Eindhoven and Ajax Amsterdam. AZ Alkmaar have the same points (61) as PSV Eindhoven in second position and they are 12 points behind league leaders Ajax Amsterdam.

Dutch international Wijndal, 21, has been in very good form for manager Pascel Jansen and his quality has been noticed at the San Siro. Inter Milan have a good wing back on the right side of defence in AchrafHakimi and they are looking for a similar player on the left side and Wijndal could be the man.

Wijndal made his debut for the Dutch national teamlast year October under Ronald Koeman and he’s expected to be part of the Netherlands squad to the European Championships this summer.
