John van den Brom and his squad are struggling

AZ Alkmaar is a club that has consistently managed to secure the 3rd or 4th spot of the Eredivisie League but have struggled trying to snatch anything higher than that.

In this current season, John van den Brom and his team has secured 16 points from the 9 opening matches of their campaign which is a fairly good position but they have recently been dropping a considerably high amount of points.

Vitesse, Sparta Rotterdam and Go Ahead Eagles are the latest opponents that AZ Alkmaar has faced off in the Eredivisie League and out of the possible 9 points that the team of John van den Brom could have secured from these matches, they were only able to snatch 3 points.

This string of results is evidence of how much AZ Alkmaar has recently been struggling in recent times. Ron Vlaar and WoutWeghorst are 2 key figures in the squad of John van den Brom and they were not able to perform during AZ Alkmaar’s match against Sparta Rotterdam due to injuries which was a huge blow for the team and that game finished in a 1-1 draw.

AZ Alkmaar Should Not UnderestimateVojvodina – Van den Brom

AZ Alkmaar’s approach for the upcoming Europa League game against Vojvodinawill not change according to manager John van den Brom.

The Dutch team managed an excellent 3-0 win over the Serbian outfit in the first leg of the Europa League qualifying games. AZ Alkmaar are fighting to reach the Europa League since it will give the club a chance to progress of the divisions once again. Ultimately, reaching the Champions League will be the aim for the club but for now they are fighting in the Europa League. The comfortable victory in the first leg has almost assured them of a place in the next round, but van den Brom is not ready to take any chances.

The team comes on the back of good form after back-to-back victories in all competitions. It has served to put an end to the wobbly start to the season. AZ Alkmaar could only manage a draw and a defeat againstHeerenveen and PSV Eindhoven in the recent league encounters. As a result, the club are struggling to achieve a direction in the domestic competition. Billy Beane made a name for himself in the world of baseball

Billy Beane made a name for himself in the world of baseball due to the system that he used to evaluate players as he helped the Oakland Athletics on signing fairly underrated and undervalued players by utilizing sabermetrics which allowed the team on having a small payroll from those players.

The innovation and strategies that Billy Beane has utilized as the general manager of Oakland Athletics expand from one sport to another as the Dutch football club Az Alkmaar have been so impressed by what Billy Beane has been doing that they signed him to the club as Billy has accepted taking up an advisory role at Az Alkmaar.

Louis van Gaal lifted many Titles

UEFA Champions League, Eredivisie, UEFA Super Cup, Intercontinental Cup and La Liga are some of the major titles that the Dutch manager Louis van Gaal has lifted during his managerial career.

It seems like Louis van Gaal will not be winning anymore major titles as the current manager of Manchester United has already stated that his current managerial position in Old Trafford will be his last one as the Dutch coach wants to take time to do other things such as, paying attention to his kids.

Manchester United’s Louis van Gaal said: “I am old. This is my last job for sure. I have to pay attention to my kids, my grandchildren but also to my wife. They deserve it.Now I cannot pay that attention. I was not at the birthday of my grandson, for example. I don’t like it.’’

“My wife wants to quit now already! Five years ago!I have a paradise in Portugal. I want to quit going there, playing golf, and eating fantastic food.”

Louis van Gaal has received heavy criticism due to the mixed season that Manchester United is going through. Manchester United is located in the top 5 spots of the Premier League and are one of the contenders of securing a European spot that would allow the team to compete in the Champions League of the upcoming season but even though that United is in a fairly good spot in the Premier League, their performances have been very disappointing as they have claimed victories in a number of matches even though it was not deserved.
